Stuff that annoys

I love the internet communities and the different sites that treat a theme or are fans of something/someone. I really love the idea of affiliates because we just support each other and not compete against each other. And then, the other days I come to one Alexis Bledel site and click to "become affiliates" - what do I see:

"You have to be nominated by us, we do only take "Elite"sites!!!"

I was mad about such a statement. Pages, which let their "elite" design do by sites like twisted-serene which is a good site, by the way, have no right to say they are elite! All the pages look completely alike. They are clones - there is any sign of originality. I'm not talking about the content - the webmasters do a good job. It just annoys me so much that we even have to have a hierarchy on the web!

If you want to see a couple of cloned sites - visit twisted-serene and see youself!

In and Out List

Well, I was thinking of an "In & Out" list for this time of year...

In:

- Having a baby: Katie Holmes, Anglina Jolie, Gwen Stefani, Gwyneth Paltrow etc.

- Wear colorful clothes: orange (Alexis Bledel at the ALMA Awards), yellow (Michelle Williams at the Oscars), royal blue (Salma Hayek at the Oscars)

- Elie Saab: super talented designer, gorgeous dresses

- Cooking: Cathrine Zeta-Jones in "Bella Martha"

- Superheros: Spider-Man, Superman, X-Men (but please, dear directors, don't forget the story because otherwise the comic movies do really get boring!)

- New Emmy system: Maybe now dear Lauren Graham will get what she deserves!

Out:

- Ceasing good shows like Everwood and let old, endless shows like "7th heaven" survive :-(

- Nominating 4 people of the same series in one category: At the end, the show'll get it's award - there's no thrill to watch the ceremony!

- Have children and be blind towards his/her partner's intolerant behavior: Katie Holmes, Britney Spears

- Not be happy for/proud of his/her partner's work: Ryan Philippe, Tom Cruise (doesn't want Katie to work!)

Give Lauren an Emmy!

Ashlee vs. Jessica

Well, I don't mean it to become a real fight, because both girls are sisters. I just saw a pic of Ashlee recently, about her new nose and I thought 'hey, it looks cool :-) '

I've seen an article with a title "Ashlee becomes more and more her sister's clone". I was pretty angry about such an opinion. Just because Ashlee dyed her hair blonde again doesn't mean she's becoming a 2. jessica! Such press annoyes!

Of course, there will be a discussion about: "well, she's prettier than jessica now, with her new nose but jessica was naturally prettier" etc.... I think, though, everyone has to decide if he/she wants to look different. I mean, the girls are celebrities, it's their job to look good. I support Ashlee and her decision!

What do you think?

Lauren speaks...

To add some quotes to what I wrote yesterday. Lauren Graham gave her opinion towards such a categorization in the "variety" interview:

But that category-changing gambit doesn't always pay off. "Gilmore Girls""Gilmore Girls" has been entered in both comedy and drama -- and neither have resulted in a nomination.

Co-star Lauren GrahamLauren Graham thinks "Gilmore" has a more dramatic feel and that, even though it hasn't had much luck with Emmys, feels that putting it into a comedy category is disingenuous and not where the series belongs.

"When someone makes you laugh, it doesn't make you feel like when an actor makes you cry," Graham says.

That the show airs on the WBthe WB network -- soon to become the CW -- also seems to tinge voters' perceptions about content as well as quality. Geared t
oward the 18-34 crowd, the WB never had a show nominated for drama or comedy.

Comedy or Drama?

Well, I was thinking about the jury putting Lauren (I mean the TCA nominations recently) into the comedy section. If they are judging her achievements in season 6, I can hardly remember comical scenes. I mean, of course, it's Lorelai, she's always a bit sarcastic but is it really comedy?

I'd consider the 6.th season as the dramatic of all "Gilmore Girls' " seasons. The first 9 episodes were horrible, where Rory and Lorelai were separated. I think of ep. 6.07, Rory's 21. b*day, it wasn't a funny episode at all... Lauren showed all Lorelai's suffering seeing her daughter partying alone, without her...

And the episode where she was crushed because of the ill Paul Anka, thinking of Rory, missing her.

And then, her painful weeks with Luke and April. Luke letting Lorelai out of his life, literally avoiding April and Lorelai's meeting. Lauren showed it to us and we believed how hurt she was... I can't imagine that comical scenes have impressed us so much this season.
